Why we're building this
The data is clear: transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. And yet, the dominant consumer choice remains the single-occupancy vehicle — not because people don't care about the environment, but because the alternative lacks incentive.
At the same time, walkable neighborhoods are full of local businesses struggling to capture the attention of the very people walking past them. These two problems — the lack of sustainable incentive and the challenge of local business discovery — are two sides of the same coin.
PaceLeaf is built on the belief that when you connect sustainable behavior with tangible local value, both problems start to solve themselves. We're not building a carbon credit scheme or a crypto token. We're building something simpler and more durable: a community rewards ecosystem that makes the sustainable choice feel good, financially and socially.
